"A venturesome minority will always be eager to set off on their own, and no obstacles should be placed in their path; let them take risks, for godsake, let them get lost, sunburnt, stranded, drowned, eaten by bears, buried alive under avalanches - that is the right and privilege of any free American." ~ Edward Abbey

WHY? Why is this cow my favorite photograph?

Why...why is this cow photo my most favorite of the month? My wife loves it too, and so do my children. Everyone loves the cow photo. The photo of a cow taken from the side of the road. Not an alligator or a rattlesnake, or a soaring eagle, but a COW. So I don't know what my point is, but i guess the idea is that you should never underestimate your subject, nor pass up something that catches your eye. I drove past this one, and only a mile or two later realized that I liked what I saw...I turned around, parked in the median on a busy highway and started shooting pictures of a cow. YES, I was even a little embarrassed. I mean...its a cow. Who takes pictures of a cow? Well..I do, and I am glad I did. I LOVE THIS SHOT. OKAY, I'll admit it. I LOVE COWS. There, I said it. I love em. I mean, not just to eat, but to look at, and enjoy for the simple fact that they are cows. Cows are very chic. They represent America to me, Dixie, Farm life, and you know what? They're cool. Admit it. You know you love em. For more photos of cows go to www.wildwoollyphotos.com. No, not really just this one.
